Black & White Assignment #1
The picture above is the original picture. The perfect one in my opinion is the first one. I feel that it brings out the detail in the puppy's face. In addition, the puppy stands out from the background. The puppy is white and black, which contrasts from the grey background. I really like how it balances out the two. In the first picture, I was trying to get the puppy to stand out from the grey background. To accomplish this, I used the levels tool and moved the triangles just a little. In the second picture, I was wanting to make it have more contrast. In order to accomplish this I first went to the levels tool and moved the black triangle up a little bit. I then went and dodged the puppy's ear, nose, and eyes. I did this so that the black could stand out more than the white part of the puppy.
