Jill Greenberg's Work

When we talked about Jill Greenberg in class, I really liked how she composed her images. The way she had her lights set on her subject and how she placed each of her subject just appealed to me. After class, I went and researched some of her other works. As I was looking, I found a particular liking to her collection of pieces titled Silhouette. These particular images capture individuals in black and white. The way the key light shines on the subjects face brightens that particular side while the other is very shadowy. In addition, the background of each of these images all look white which gives a contrast between the background and the subject. Attached below are some of her works from this particular collection.
